DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 5, 2026
Due to weather forecasts predicting rain and cold temperatures across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, we have been closely monitoring conditions for this Sunday. Based on current water temperatures and the forecast for heavy rain, we anticipate that the Wildcat River levels will rise.
To ensure the safety and enjoyment for all participants, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the Wildquack Duck Race & Music Festival to Saturday, September 5th, 2026.
The anticipated conditions would impact the entire event. We cannot allow children or staff in the water to guide or collect ducks, and the rain would prevent us from hosting the parade and individual children’s games.
All duck tickets already purchased will automatically roll over to the new date, and all prizes will be available at that time. We will provide further updates as soon as possible.
Sunday, May 24, 2026, our quintessential New England village and a highly visited resort destination plays host to the 34th annual Wildquack Duck Race & Music Festival!
Continuing with tradition – admission to the event remains FREE!
This is an entire community, family-fun-filled day in the park with so much to do!
- music from local entertainers and Dennis & Davey
- fair foods including BBQ, kettle corn, ice cream, lobster sandwiches … affordably priced
- silent auction … bid often!

- and so much more!
The day’s events start at 8 AM and the first Duck Race goes off at 1:45 PM.

Watch the “ever-growing” parade starting from the Covered Bridge at 1:30 PM. Have your picture taken with “Wildquack” the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce Duck, visit local businesses and really enjoy this “ole” fashioned “Day in the Park”.
