Over 200 Years of Hospitality Experience

For more than 200 years, the classic New Hampshire White Mountain Villages of Jackson, Intervale, Bartlett, Glen, and Hart’s Location have held a special attraction for visitors from around the globe. Only eight miles from North Conway, and without all the hustle and bustle.

The area’s landscape, complete with the Jackson “Honeymoon” covered bridge built in 1876, white steeple churches, high mountains, and rolling farmland, has been deemed “sublime” and captured on canvas, and photographed by renowned artists and photographers from far and wide. The villages’ grand hotels, comfortable inns, and original restaurants are known for their hospitality and world-class fine dining.

Together these villages located on the edges of 750,000 acres of the White Mountain National Forest offer spectacular natural beauty, and as much four-season recreation as you’ll find in the northeastern United States. Hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, golfing, ice skating, snowshoeing, downhill and cross-country skiing on some of the finest trails in the East and sleigh rides that whisk you away and make you feel as though you have landed in a Currier and Ives landscape. Our crystal clear waterfalls, winding meandering rivers, relaxing lakes and pristine beaches offer you various outdoor water experiences.

Jackson is a “Picture Perfect” vacation and wedding destination who’s history continues to stay alive through the efforts of the Jackson Historical Society members and volunteers who are very active in preserving and presenting local history. Visit the historic Trickey Barn which was completely dismantled, moved and reconstructed into the beautiful new Jackson Library. The former Trickey Barn cupola now rests just a few short steps outside of the Library located on route 16 A right in the heart of Jackson Village. You can learn all about the history of this building and more at the Historic Society located along the “Village Loop” at the junction of Route 16 and 16A one-half mile north of the covered bridge… where you’ll find Jackson history come alive.

At night, as you turn in from all the excitement of the day, you will want to be sure to look up into the sky… where you will see an unforgettable star-filled sky. When meteor showers are predicted this is the setting you will want to have to view them just right!
