On Thursday, April 20, at 7 pm, at the Jackson Public Library, Dr. Lauren
Frye and several other members of Memorial Hospital’s medical team who
visited Kenya in December will share their experiences. This trip was the
fourth for Dr. Frye, but the first in which she was the lead. The team of 25
included 13 Memorial Hospital providers and staff. They spent 10 days at a
clinic in Migori, Kenya providing a variety of care, primarily focused on
women’s health and pediatrics, from physical examinations and surgeries
to follow-up visits for care begun by previous medical teams. The Migori
clinic is sponsored by the group KenyaRelief.org. This program is
sponsored by the Friends of Jackson Public Library and is open to the
public at no charge.
