About Return of the Pumpkin People

The 2008 Return of the Pumpkin People brought thousands of visitors and paparazzi to our great area. Carter Notch Inn's "Pumpkin Anatomy" won Overall First Prize, Most Difficult and People's Choice. Anyone who stopped by the Carter Notch Inn and had the opportunity to see the display first hand knew just how much detail, work and creativity went into it, 2nd place People's Choice and Most Creative was won by the Inn at Jackson. If you didn't get a chance to stop by and see it personally you probably saw it in one of more than 8 papers or News Videos that ran the picture of it, 3rd place People's Choice and Cutest was won by the Inn at Ellis River for their Magic Show featuring Pheona who is their Pumpkin Person who always comes back year after year(she is captured in her Maids outfit from last year as seen in our photo album), Funniest was won by the Shannon Door Pub for their version of Flannigan's Irish Wake (being Irish from South Boston - I am still laughing), Residential first place was won by the Crowther Family, Funniest Residential was won by Joyce Allen, Cutest Residential was won by Janet Green and Most Difficult and Creative was won by DD Warren.

All in all I would feel comfortable saying that this was the best year to date for creativity and fun. We want to thank each business and residential family who participated and remind everyone there are only winners with this event. Thank you for all your hard work and we look forward to seeing your hosted Pumpkin People next year.
