DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 20th Annual Jackson Covered Bridge Dance! \nDance the night away under the stars on the famous Jackson Covered Bridge while listening to Jon Sarty and the White Mountain Boys!\nSaturday\, August 3rd\, 2024 \nJoin Jon Sarty and the White Mountain Boys as they lead us in a night of music\, dance and community spirit. Music starts at 7:30 PM and continues through 10:30 PM. The Jackson bridge will be closed from 5 PM to 11:30 PM for clean up.  You will want to come early\, find your favorite spot. Mighty Mini Donuts will be on hand selling hot dogs\, mini donuts and more. \n\nThis Jackson Community Event is FREE thanks to our wonderful sponsors: Flossie’s General Store\, Homer’s Appliance Repair\, The Inn at Whitney’s Farm & the Shovel Handle Pub\,  the Inn at Ellis River\, and this year we are delighted to add Windows by Anderson. \n>> Additional Information

SUMMARY:All Things Pumpkin Sleigh Ride/Tour
DESCRIPTION:Horse-drawn Sleigh Ride traveling through Jackson Village.  Upon checking in at the Nestlenook Gazebo you will receive a special Pumpkin surprise.  You will board your sleigh and be whisked away journeying the quaint village of Jackson and passing by 12 or more Return of the Pumpkin People Displays.  Bring your camera as you will want to take photos… we are celebrating our 40th Birthday Bash of the Return of the Pumpkin People and we can assure you they WILL be something to see and capture with a photo.   \nUpon returning to Nestlenook you may wish to check out all the amazing things happening right there… “Trail of Terror” will be open and you can also purchase s’mores to do at one of the many firepits throughout their property.  Nestlenook is always a fabulous place to be!

SUMMARY:Pumpkin Carving Competition
DESCRIPTION:Each team receives 8 pumpkins.  Teams can consist of one to three carvers.  Carvers begin on Friday October 18th at Noon and continue through Friday evening (their choice of quitting time).  They begin carving again on Saturday morning October 19th and continue to 5 PM at which time they have to have all eight pieces completely.  You can vote for People’s Choice through out Saturday.  Pumpkins will be lit at 5 PM and remain being on display throughout the night.  Come back on Sunday at 10 AM to hear who won and to purchase your favorite carved piece.  We accept donations for the pieces to help defray all the costs to the event.  A percentage of all money raised will be shared with Jen’s Friends.  Our Local Cancer Foundation who’s work is incredible and who has help so many families through the roughest years of their lives.  Thanks Jen’s Friends.  Our communities support all your tireless work. \nDon’t forget to check out Nestlenook’s Trail of Terror tickets are sold separately by calling 603-383-7101.
