DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Jackson Public Library invite you to a\nconcert by Jackson’s own harper and singer\, Dominique Dodge\,\non Friday\, December 1\, 2023\, at 5:00 pm at the Jackson Public\nLibrary. Dominique maintains strong ties to Cape Breton. Her\n2019 album\, “Cànan nan Teud” (The Language of the Strings)\nfeatures Gaelic songs from Cape Breton and explores the\nrelationship between Puirt-à-Beul (mouth music) and traditional\ndance tunes. A Fulbright Scholar and 2012 graduate of the\nUniversity of Limerick with an MA in Irish Music Performance\,\nDominique also holds a BA Honours in Scottish Music from the\nRoyal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. In addition to her\nwork as a highly regarded performing artist\, Dominique is a\nfluent learner of Scottish Gaelic and an experienced traditional\narts educator. DESCRIPTION:Exciting news for the 2023 Season:  We will be continuing with a fifth weekend to our Jingle Bell Chocolate Tours starting Saturday November 18th\, Sunday November 19th\, Saturday November 25th\, Sunday November 26th\, Saturday December 2nd\, Sunday December 3rd\, Saturday December 9th\, Sunday December 10th\, with the final weekend being Saturday December 16th and Sunday December 17th\, 2023.  The Price per ticket is now $45 per person children 2 and under riding on mom/dad’s lap are free.  Tours run hourly from 11 AM through 4 PM… Check in for this amazing event will continue to be at the Snowflake for all weekends.   \nOur 2024 infamous Chocolatiers are:  Will be announced within the next few weeks.  If you have a Reserved Seating ticket from 2022 remember you must call to reserve your seat in advance.  Please be aware although chocolate treasures may not have nuts in them directly they may have come in contact with nuts\, nut products or nut oil.!    \nThe $45 ticket purchase includes a Jingle Bell\, a festive bag to hold any uneaten hand-made chocolate treasures\, a horse drawn Austrian sleigh ride through Jackson Village and 8 to 10 hand-made chocolates presented to you right in your sleigh at each stop along the way.  (Riders do not get out of sleighs to get their chocolates the proprietors of each business meets the sleighs and presents your chocolate goodies to you!)  Chocolatiers may change without any advance notice. \nHow Long does the Tour Take? \nYou can expect to be on your sleigh ride for approximately one hour.  Depending upon traffic throughout the village and how long each stop takes the timing may vary slightly. \nWhere to we park? \nVery important… the Snowflake Inn is open and operating their extremely wonderful Inn during the Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour.  The property is very busy.  There are parking spots available at the Jackson Grammar School located across the street.  There is limited parking in the far back lot of the Snowflake Inn.  This property is an all adult property.  We ask that parties with young children wait outside to boar their sleighs.  After returning from your sleigh ride we ask anyone not having business directly with the Snowflake Inn return to your car as the check in area is overwhelmingly busy during this event. \nTell us about the Chocolatiers! \nEach year our chocolatiers provide about 2\,000 pieces of home-made chocolates to our riders.  Although a percentage of the ticket price goes to the chocolatiers they are providing the service of meeting and greeting each sleigh and the chocolates at their expense.  They volunteer to help keep this amazing event going.  Please be sure to frequent our chocolatiers establishments and be sure the THANK THEM!  Our Chocolatiers are listed above. \nHow can I get Tickets for a Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour Ride? \nTickets are available all year when booking a stay at one of our chocolatier properties or dining at one of our chocolatier properties (Nestlenook\, Inn at Jackson\, the Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club\, The Wentworth\, A White Mountain Inn\, the Snowflake Inn\, Christmas Farm Inn & Spa\, the Inn at Thorn Hill & Spa\, RiverWood Inn and or the J-Town Deli & Country Store).  If you are booking 10 seats or more you can book any time of the year by calling the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce at 978-580-0905.  Any remaining tickets go on sale to the general public on November 1st\, 2023.   \nPlease be advised:  2023 Tickets are Non-Refundable.  In order to continue to offer this beloved event…  BUT\, as long as we have your cancellation at least 5 business days prior to the time of your tour\, we will reissue your tickets for the 2023 Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour!
