SUMMARY:Return of the Pumpkin People
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \nThis premiere event is celebrating its 39th year.  This event is a self-guided tour available to you throughout the day or evening hours at your leisure. \nOur businesses hosting Pumpkin People work very hard at creating the displays for your enjoyment… this year we anticipate even more displays than usual with more than 50 displays.  You see Pumpkin People doing just about anything and sometimes even the impossible.  Please remember to vote for your favorite.  There is a ballot on the back of every map.  Maps are available at participating businesses and located in brochure racks throughout the area.  Ballots can be dropped off at any of the participating businesses or at the Chamber offices.  New Hampshire\, and especially our area\, offers some of the most beautiful and awe inspiring views and events… please remember we need your help to keep the incredibleness going.  Remember to thank your front line employees and as things challenge us during times such as Covid days be mindful that the challenges fall upon us all.  Working together to be able to offer events such as this is something we all need to strive for… levity and fun can wash away stress.  We thank you for respecting our State’s recommendations and or mandates that may be in place at the time of this event and or any of our events.  If restrictions are tightened or loosened we shall be sure to keep this page up to date.  Be well everyone and lets enjoy the little things which make us smile! \nMaps and People Choice Award Ballots will be available by September 15\, 2023. SUMMARY:Jackson Art Pops Up  at the The Wentworth Tent
DESCRIPTION:“This is our 4th Annual Fall Pop-Up Art Show at The Wentworth\, located in the heart of Jackson Village\,” said Melanie Levitt\, artist and owner of the Jackson Art Studio and Gallery. Paying homage to the powerful autumn display created by Mother Nature\, the work showcased in the pop-up show allows people to view our latest work in the beautiful new tent at the Wentworth. Some of the paintings exhibited will have a Fall theme\, reflecting the color and vibrancy that surrounds us at this time of the year in northern New England. All of the artists are juried with the work of twenty plus artists mostly from Mt Washington Valley and some though out New England. “What better place at this time of the year\, “ Levitt said\, “to showcase artists and their work than right here in the middle of Jackson Village under a tent surrounded by the ultimate source of inspiration\, our fall foliage.” The work presented reflects the influences of impressionism\, realism and abstract expressionism in a variety of mediums including oil\, acrylic\, pastel\, watercolor\, woodblock prints as well as hand-blown glass\, pottery\, and prints. \n The Pop-Up Art Show will start with an evening opening reception and “Meet the Artists”  on Friday\, October 6 from 5 to 7:30PM.  The show will continue on Saturday\, October 7\, from 10 AM through 6 PM\, and on Sunday\, October 8\, from 10 AM through 5 PM. The event is free and open to the public. The Wentworth is located at One Carter Notch Road\, Jackson Village\, NH 03846. SUMMARY:All Things Pumpkin Festival
DESCRIPTION:Start by checking out the areas Return of the Pumpkin People which starts on October 1st running through the entire month of October.  Friday October 27th our carvers will arrive and start carving their works of art.  On Saturday the 28th you are invited to come and meet some of the most talented artists around our area.  These great sculptors\, carvers\, often can be found bearing the cold at our Snow Sculpting Competition. \nThis year we have the following teams:  Team Conant from CT      Team Amato from CT      Team Moore/Roncarati from ME      Team Wark/Mawhir/Hoag from ME      Team Campbell CT      Team Warren from MA \nSaturday October 28th bring the kids and let them partake in all the Pumpkin Fun like scavenger hunt from 11 AM until 2 PM then again on Sunday from 11 AM until 2 PM.  On Sunday you can purchase your favorite carved pumpkin for a donation of $20 or more. \nHope to see you there. \n
