DESCRIPTION:With certified high school art teacher Olivia Benish \nThis fun KIDS painting class will take place outside under our ART TENT. We will provide everything your child needs to create their own unique 16”x20” acrylic painting of Llama! Olivia will walk the students through the painting step by step. Each child will leave with their own unique masterpiece and work at their own level. No painting experience needed. Students will learn about color mixing\, brush work and composition. Please have kids wear clothes they can get paint on! Drink and snack included. Parents will need to fill out an ONLINE emergency contact form upon registering. This link will be emailed to you. SPACE IS LIMITED TO ALLOW FOR INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION.

SUMMARY:Monhegan Island Retreat: Plein Air Painting\, Yoga\, Light Hiking and Island Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join Melanie Barash Levitt\, owner of Jackson Art\, for a unique experience combining plein air painting\, (beginner and intermediate welcome) two private yoga classes\, light hiking and touring Monhegan Island.  This retreat will be reserved for a small group taking place in one of the most beautiful places in the world!  We will spend a rustic weekend at the Trailing Yew. (hearty breakfast included) \nCost includes painting instruction and demos\, two nights accommodation with breakfast at the Trailing Yew (your own private room)\,  two private group yoga classes with ocean view\, wine/cheese welcome upon arrival and a tour around the island.  Melanie will be working in oils but you can also work in acrylics\, watercolors or even just sketch. You can also add a morning or evening massage with Ginger Rober to make the trip even more relaxing! Cost for massage is $105 for an hour and must be booked in advance on a first come\, first serve basis. \nParticipants are expected to cover costs of their lunch and dinner\, and transportation to and from the island.  Participants should also bring all their own art supplies.
