SUMMARY:Return of the Pumpkin People
DESCRIPTION:This premiere event is celebrating its 37th year.  Return of the Pumpkin People is a self-guided tour easy to be able to offer safely during challenging times.  Mask worn safely over your nose and mouth and social distancing are encouraged.  Please keep in mind individual businesses hosting Pumpkin People displays will have their own State Covid19 mandates/regulations and we ask that everyone honors and respects these mandates/regulations… thank you. \nOur businesses hosting Pumpkin People work very hard at creating the displays for your enjoyment… this year we anticipate even more displays than usual with more than 50 displays.  You see Pumpkin People doing just about anything and sometimes even the impossible.  Please remember to vote for your favorite.  There is a ballot on the back of every map.  Maps are available at participating businesses and located in brochure racks throughout the area.  Ballots can be dropped off at any of the participating businesses or at the Chamber offices.  New Hampshire\, and especially our area\, offers some of the most beautiful and awe inspiring views and events… please remember we need your help to keep the incredibleness going.  Remember to thank your front line employees and as things challenge us during this pandemic be mindful that the inconveniences fall upon us all.  Working together to be able to offer events such as this is something we all need to strive for… levity and fun can wash away stress.  We thank you for respecting our State’s recommendations and or mandates of wearing your mask safely over your nose and mouth and social distancing.  If restrictions are tightened or loosened we shall be sure to keep this page up to date.  Be well everyone and lets enjoy the little things which make us smile! \nMaps and People Choice Award Ballots will be available by September 24\, 2021. SUMMARY:All Things Pumpkin Festival
DESCRIPTION:         \nWhat is the “All Things Pumpkin Festival” \nThe Jackson Area of New Hampshire already can boast about having the top fall foliage event with our Return of the Pumpkin People.  And… we decided to make our fall foliage time an even more extravaganza by adding an All Things Pumpkin Tour (a sleigh ride through Jackson Village stopping at a few premiere properties who will share a special edible or keep sake involving pumpkins.  The Pumpkin Tour run Saturday\, October 23rd and Sunday\, October 24th starting at 11 AM hourly through 3 PM.  Tickets are $25 each.  Call 978-580-0905 Monday through Friday to book your ride. \nThe New England Invitational Pumpkin Carving Competition takes place all day Saturday\, October 23rd from 10 AM until 5 PM when each team will have to have 8 pumpkins carved and ready for display.  First place receives $300 purse and the title of New England’s Premiere Pumpkin Carvers.  Prizes are awarded for 2nd and 3rd place as well.  Immediately following the judging winners will be announced at 5:30 PM.  The Pumpkins will remain lit up for viewing throughout the early evening.  On Sunday\, October 24th starting at 10 AM the incredible carved pumpkins will be on sale.  Take your favorite home with you.  Throughout the day there will be lots of fun activities for kids\, moms and dads.  And… the “All Things Pumpkin Tour” will be running from 11 AM until 3 PM. \nLocal businesses throughout the area will have special tastings and pumpkin fun running through out the end of the month.  We have much more than just the beautifully colored leaves for you to enjoy.  Be sure to request a brochure by emailing info@jacksonnh.com. \nKeep checking back often as we will be adding more information on this annual event as we get closer to it. \n  \n

SUMMARY:New England and Jackson Invitational Pumpkin Carving Competition
DESCRIPTION:What will I find at the Pumpkin Carving Competition? \nYou will find the competition at Nestlenook Farm on Friday October 22nd continuing through Saturday October 24th at 3 PM.  Come and meet the sculptors and carvers.  Watch as they transform regular pumpkins into masterpieces of PUMPK ART!  Please note they are happy to answer any questions but remember they are in a competition and please do not touch any of their work in progress and or tools.  You can purchase your favorite completed carved or sculpted pumpkin on Saturday just after the winners are announced at 5:30 PM on Saturday October 23rd. \nOn Sunday October 24th beginning at 10 AM and continuing until 3 PM our sculptors and carvers will be assisting with all the fun activities we have planned for your enjoyment.  These activities are priced accordingly. \nRoasting S’mores $10 per package  –  10 AM  –  3 PM \nGreat Pumpkin Roll off $20 entry fee   –  11 AM  –  Noon  –  Participants receive a pumpkin put their name on it then roll it down the pumpkin lane.  The Pumpkin rolled furthest away wins 50% of the entry fees collected. \nPumpkin Decorating Competition  – 11 AM  –  3 PM  –  $20 entry fee per pumpkin  –  Bring your complete decorated pumpkin\, put it on display and our Pumpkin Carving Team Members will pick the winner at                 3 PM.  Winner will receive 50% of the entry fees collected.  All entries must be picked up at 3 PM or will become the property of the chamber. \nKid’s pumpkin fun  –  Noon  –  3 PM –  $10 per child  –  includes a pumpkin and goody bag as well as all the items needed to decorate the pumpkin. \n  \n  \n
