Join us at the Buttonwood Inn for the Chocolate Festival on February 28, 2010. Cross-country ski or snowshoe from inn-to-inn along the Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring & Snowshoe Center network trails located only minutes from the Buttonwood (or drive). Indulge your chocolate fantasy at ours and other participating inns along the way during our most popular event of the season!
This will be the Sweetest Day on the trails and may be the only day of the year when chocolate indulgence is totally guilt-free. Hundreds of people travel to enjoy chocolate prepared every way imaginable. Many return year after year to enjoy the Chocolate Festival. A festival map will be available on the day of the event when you purchase your ticket, or at your first chocolate stop if you\'ve purchased your ticket in advance, listing all the chocolate stops. Each business will validate the Festival map to confirm your stop. More chocolate awaits the chocoholics that have completed the tour! Present your stamped Festival map on the day of the event to select North Conway area businesses for more chocolate.

A self-guided tour of the participating inns will include the sampling of maple treats, both savory and sweet. Visiting guests can learn about “sugaring” at maple sugar houses and stop in at participating “Maple Country Partners” shops and vendors along the way.
Those participating in the Maple Madness \"March\" will have the opportunity to gather points toward winning prizes as they travel a specific tour route guided by directions \"riddled with clues.\" Along the way, guests must seek answers to questions, gather objects, and artifacts, as well as visit each participating Inn and Maple Country Partner. The ticket holder who scores the most points will win a $200 certificate good toward a two-night stay at a participating BBInnsMWV Inn, as well as other goodies provided by the Inns and Maple Country Partners.

An Inn-to-Inn Trek for Treats - A Halloween Event at Hauntingly Historic Inns
The Bed & Breakfasts Inn Mt. Washington Valley (BBInnsMWV) are pleased to announce the annual Ghost & Goblin Trail©, Saturday, October 31, 2009, from 11 am to 4 pm. The self-guided tour of participating inns ... each with their own ghost stories ... will offer ticket holders a sampling of traditional treats prepared especially for Halloween. The Ghost & Goblin Trail© stretches throughout the Presidential Range of the White Mountains of NH. Featured inns and their Country Partners, several locally owned and equally fun-loving businesses, will open their doors to costumed characters, spirits in Halloween make-up, and street-clothed participants alike. Those “dressed for the occasion” will automatically receive their treats and clues. However, those in street clothes must earn their treat at every stop ... by first performing a task drawn from a bag o’ tricks. Guests will also participate in the judging of each inn’s entrance decorations and treats.
The Great Mystery Muddle of the White Mountains is a riddle and jumbled word contest. The tour inns will accompany their gastronomic goodie with a clue hidden within their tour booklet page. The grand prize valued at over $400 includes a $200 certificate good toward a two-night stay at any participating Bed and Breakfasts Inn Mt. Washington Valley, a dinner certificate for The Notchland Inn, a horse or carriage ride for two at the Farm by the River & Stables, and a special treat bag chock-a-block full with fun prizes contributed by the Bed & Breakfasts Inn Mt. Washington Valley and their Country Partners.
